Mouse scrolling is not smooth while working in MS Office

Symptoms

• Mouse scrolling is not smooth while working in MS Office 
• Delay when typing in Microsoft Word

Resolution

1. MS Office requires at least 2 GB of memory and 2 CPUs. Please check these requirements in the virtual machine configuration > Hardware > CPU & Memory.

2. Check the following Microsoft Office options:

   Open Word, click File > Options > Advanced > Display,  and perform one or all of the following steps:

   • Disable the option "Update document content while dragging".
   • Disable the option "Use subpixel positioning to smooth fonts on screen".
   • Disable Add-Ins (Bloomberg, as an example).
