SymptomsYou need to transfer an existing virtual machine to your new Mac
CauseWhen you buy a new Mac, you do not have to install your virtual machine once again - you can just transfer an existing one.
Transfer the existing virtual machine to your new Mac
1. Locate the virtual machine on your Mac hard drive. (NOTE: in order to transfer Boot Camp partition please refer to KB 113658 )
2. Copy PVM file to an external Hard Drive or transfer via the Network.
3. At the destination Mac click File menu --> Migrate --> External Storage Device.
4. Follow on screen instructions to Import your Virtual Machine with Boot Camp partition.
NOTE: You won't be able to install migrated Boot Camp partition to your new Mac's hard drive. The only option is to run migrated Boot Camp in the virtual machine using Parallels Desktop.
