What is the difference between the types of Parallels Client for Windows?

Parallels Client for Windows has two editions – full and basic.

This article describes the difference between these types of client. 

Full Windows Client

Available in msi package. The full client requires administrative privileges to be installed and provides full functionality.

Basic Windows Client

Available in self-extracting archive.The basic client can be installed by a user and has the following limitations:

• Single Sign-on;
• Universal Scanning support;
• Client Manager functionality (such as desktop replacement, kiosk mode and session shadowing);
• File extension associations;
• Automatic fonts installation.
