Answer

Parallels virtual machine takes as much disk space as you have data in your virtual machine, and it's all stored in the virtual machine's *.pvm bundle (by default virtual machines are located in ~/USER_NAME/Parallels/ folder).

Checking a virtual machine size in Parallels Desktop

To check the size of a virtual machine go to its configuration and open the General tab.

Total size shows the amount of space occupied by the virtual machine bundle:

To check the size of a virtual machine locate its virtual machine file in Finder and open its info:

  1. Right-click on Parallels Desktop icon in Dock and select Control Center.

  2. Right-click on the virtual machine's name and select Show in Finder.

  3. Right-click on the virtual machine's .pvm file and select Get Info
