Resolution
Assuming a default domain has been configured in System Settings > Global > Domains:
The login page will show the "domain" field when:
- The user navigates to the Workspace using an IP.
- The user navigates to the Workspace using a FQDN (host header) which is not configured:
- As a host header for a Workspace domain.
- As a host header for a reverse-proxied web application.
If this "domain" field is visible and the user does not enter a name, they will be authenticating against the default domain that has been configured.
In all of the above situations, the branding of the "default domain" is applied.
If however the user navigates to the Workspace using a known FQDN, the branding for this specific Workspace domain will be applied and the "domain" field will not be visible on the login page.
If there are multiple Workspace domains, it is also highly recommended to configure specific host headers for them.
