How to specify Web Proxy Server Settings for Parallels Software Update Point

If you are using a web proxy server in your organization, you need to specify its settings, so that Parallels OS X Software Update Point can access the Internet:

  1. Log in to the computer where you have Parallels OS X Software Update Point installed.

  2. Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and navigate to the following key:

    64-bit OS: 

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Parallels\Parallels Mac Management for Microsoft SCCM\Sup

    32-bit OS:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Parallels\Parallels Mac Management for Microsoft SCCM\Sup

  3. Add the following values:

    • NetProxyHost — String. Proxy server hostname.
    • NetProxyPort — DWORD. Proxy server port number.
    • NetProxyUserName — String. User name to connect to the proxy server (if required).
    • NetProxyUserPassword — String. User password (if required).
       
  4. Restart Parallels Software Update Point service.
