Symptoms
When I start the virtual machine I get Unable to connect CD/DVD 1 error message.
Cause
macOS Catalina 10.15 introduced more privacy restrictions, Parallels Desktop application needs additional access to be able to work as before.
Resolution
Open Windows virtual machine's configuration > Hardware > CD/DVD 1 > choose any available device as Source.
