Resolution
Since version 5.5, it is possible to perform a shutdown through System Settings > Global > Troubleshoot: select the Shutdown action.
Since version 5.7, you can also reboot the virtual machines in the same way.
In previous versions, there was no built-in option to shut down or restart the appliance.
You can do so by shutting down or restarting the virtual machine (Guest OS) through the hypervisor.
