OS X High Sierra OS corrupted after imaging a Mac

Symptoms

After imaging a Mac, there are a number of system wide issues observed. For example:

• AppStore does not display any content.
• Safari does not load any websites.
• Gatekeeper settings are wiped.

Cause

OS X image was captured from a High Sierra Mac, partitioned in JHFS+.

Resolution

Capture the OS X image from High Sierra Mac, partitioned in APFS.
