Symptoms

While running my virtual machine in Coherence vew mode I am having the virtual machine's separate icon in the Dock which I want to be removed.

Resolution

The Windows Start menu icon was introduced with the release of Parallels Desktop 9 and it cannot be hidden or removed from the Dock in Coherence mode.

But.. In Parallels Desktop 10 we have added an option for hiding this Dock icon available in Parallels Desktop preferences -> General:
