Unable to use USB Device in Virtual Machine. Error code 10

Symptoms

I am unable to use my USB Device in Windows. The exclamation mark appeared in Device Manager.

     "This device cannot start" Code 10 

Cause

A Code 10 error is generated in Device Manager in one of the following situations:

• Device Manager can't start the device.
• One of the drivers that the device needs does not start.
• Device Manager has insufficient information to recognize the error that is bubbled up by the device driver.

Resolution

Try to pass this device directly to Windows:

• At the Mac Menu toolbar go to Devices -> External Devices -> select your device
• Check the issue.

If it does not help,

As a probable solution try to use Microsoft Fixit Utility .
