What are the supported VDI Providers?

The scope of this article is to outline which are the supported VDI hosts for Parallels Remote Application Server.

Depending on the version the Parallels RAS supports the following VDI hosts:

  • Microsoft Hyper-V (Windows Server 2012 R2 up to Windows Server 2022)
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Cluster (Windows Server 2012 R2 up to Windows Server 2022)
  • Vmware vCenter 8
  • VMware vCenter 6.5.0, 6.7.0, 7.x

NOTE: Vmware vCenter 6.5 and 6.7 are deprecated.  It is recommended to upgrade to a fully supported version 

(They may still they will work to allow users to continue working until users update to the latest versions.) 

  • VMware vCenter 7.X, 8.X
  • VMware ESXi 6.5.0, 6.7.0, 7.x
  • Scale Computing SC//HyperCore 8.9, 9.1
  • Nutanix AHV AOS 5.15, 5.20, 6.5 LTS

    Cloud providers:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Amazon Web Services

  • Microsoft Hyper-V (Windows Server 2012 R2 - 2019)
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Cluster (Windows Server 2012 R2 - 2019)
  • VMware vCenter 6.7.0, 6.5.0, 6.0.0, 5.5.0, 5.1.0, 5.0.0, 4.1.0, 4.0.0
  • VMware ESXi 6.7.0, 6.5.0, 6.0.0, 5.5.0, 5.1.0, 5.0.0, 4.1.0, 4.0.0
  • Scale Computing HC3 7.4
  • Nutanix AHV AOS 5.5, 5.10, 5.15
  • Microsoft Azure
