Overview

Due to recent changes in domain configuration, all customers must update their domain settings and Identity Provider (IdP) configuration to ensure continued access to the Parallels portal environment.

This article outlines the required changes for both the Owner Portal configuration and the IdP settings.

Required Actions

1. Add Your Domain to the Custom Environment

Update your domain configuration in the Owner Portal and explicitly add your domain to the custom environment.

Custom Environment URL Format:

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com

Replace <yourdomain> with your organization's configured domain name.

2. Update Portal URLs

The User Portal and Admin Portal now use the custom environment domain. Previous portal domains are deprecated and should no longer be used.

User Portal

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com

Admin Portal

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com/admin

Important: Ensure that administrators and end users access the service using the new custom environment URLs. Legacy portal URLs are no longer supported.

3. Update Identity Provider (IdP) Configuration

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), update your Identity Provider configuration to include the new redirect URIs and allow the custom environment domains.

Redirect URIs

Add the following redirect URIs to your IdP application configuration:

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com/rbi/oidc/signin/callback

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com/owner/test-idp

Allowed Domains

Ensure that the following custom domain is added to the list of allowed or trusted domains within your IdP configuration:

https://<yourdomain>.pbi.parallels.com

Summary

To complete the migration to the custom environment:

  1. Add your domain to the custom environment in the Owner Portal.
  2. Update bookmarks and references to use the new User and Admin Portal URLs.
  3. Configure your IdP with the new redirect URIs.
  4. Add the custom environment domain to the IdP's allowed/trusted domains list.
  5. Stop using the legacy portal domains, as they have been deprecated.
