Symptoms

Printers installed on the RDSH Server are not available using Parallels Client published applications

Cause

The printer is installed either manually or per user sessions.

Resolution

The printer should be installed on the RDSH by using GPO from Active Directory and deployed per machine, not per user.

Steps:

1. From Print Management Console on the Print Server:

Go to Print Management Console>Print Servers>Printer>Select printer to be installed on RDSH>Right Click>Deploy with Group Policy.

From the Groupe Policy settings, please select "Deploy this printer connection to the following > Browse Active Directory OU to create the GPO or apply to existing GPO

Select> The computers that this GPO applies(per machine)

A GPO will be created on your Active Directory.

2. Open Group Policy Management on your Active Directory.

Modify the GPO to apply Filtering so that the GPO is applied to the RDSH.

Add the RDSH as a machine object and Authenticated Users to the Filtering list.

Saved the Policy and apply.

3. Once the GPO is applied on the RDSH(A reboot of the Server or "gpupdate /force command" is required), the printer will be installed and available on the RDSH.

4.  Any user launching published applications from the RDSH will be able to see the Printer listed on his printer list when printing.
