However, some API requests will only be successful if you authenticate using an LDAP user.

Users always provide their password when using the simple login screen of the Workspace or only pre-authentication. This is not stored permanently on the appliance. For certain operations, the Workspace must pass on the user's credentials to access certain resources.

This includes:

  Reason: Microsoft Windows credentials are needed to access file shares as the specified user on a Microsoft Windows Server.
