Resolution

The virtual printer only supports common paper sizes to create a PDF output which can then be printed from the end-user's device.

This means currently there is no support for custom paper sizes, for example various label sizes.

Changing the default paper size

A server's locale setting is determined on installation. The locale settings determine things like the default paper size, based on the location and locale that is set.

In recent Windows versions, the location has changed a bit.

  1. Open the Settings app in Microsoft Windows.
  2. Go to Time & Language.
    1. Click Region.
      1. Specify the country or region.
    2. Click Language.
      1. On the right, click on Administrative language settings.
      2. Choose [Change system locale]. Set the correct system locale.

In previous Windows versions (before Windows 10 - 1809):

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Region > Location tab. Set the correct location for the required paper size.
  2. Navigate to Control Panel > Region > Administrative tab. Choose [Change system locale]. Set the correct system locale.
