Hardware requirements

To provide Windows applications to users of low-end devices consider Parallels Remote Application Server.

Preferred Chromebook models







Chrome OS version

Chrome OS version 85 or later

Google Admin console

The Google Admin console is used to set up an organizational unit, users, and to configure Parallels Desktop-related properties. To perform these tasks, you must be a super admin or an admin with sufficient privileges in the Google Admin console. 

Please note that Chrome Enterprise Upgrade licenses are required and can be acquired either with Chrome Enterprise devices or separately. Learn more here:  

Microsoft Windows

Microsoft Windows disk image (ISO) and a Windows license are required. The ISO image can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Enterprise customers can use their existing Windows licenses following the agreement with Microsoft.

Corporate storage server

To deploy a Windows virtual machine image on user devices, you need a corporate storage server from where the image can be downloaded to individual Chromebooks in your organization via HTTP or HTTPS. CDN is recommended for very large deployments.
