How to move PMM database to a new SQL Server

Information

NOTE: Take a backup before you proceed with instructions below:

  1. Stop the Parallels Configuration Manager Proxy service.
  2. Move SQL Instance to new location including CM_xxx and PMM_xxx databases. Save permissions to these databases.
  3. Complete the configuration of SCCM (SCCM must work with new instance of SQL Server)
  4. Start Parallels Configuration Manager Proxy service - it will find the new location of SQL Server using SCCM's data and shall work properly.
