How to install Adobe Flash Player on a Mac using the Software Distribution

Information

Using .app package

  1. Download the latest Standalone Installer of Adobe Flash Player.

    NOTE: Links to download Standalone installers located under Still having problems part:

  2. When creating an installation package in Parallels Mac Management, use the following command:

    hdiutil mount install_flash_player_16_osx.dmg && '/Volumes/Flash Player/Install Adobe Flash Player.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Flash Player Install Manager' -install && hdiutil unmount '/Volumes/Flash Player' 
    

    Note: in this example we used the file named install_flash_player_16_osx.dmg downloaded from Adobe.com. If you download the file with some other name, make sure to use it, accordingly.

Using the .pkg package

  1. Download the latest Standalone Installer of Adobe Flash Player.

  2. When creating an installation package in Parallels Mac Management, use the following command:

    :install_flash_player_16_osx_pkg.dmg/Install Adobe Flash Player.pkg::
    

    Note: in this example we used the file named install_flash_player_16_osx_pkg.dmg downloaded from Adobe.com. If you download the file with some other name, make sure to use it, accordingly.

  3. Instruct Mac users to follow the Adobe Flash Player installation wizard appearing on the screen.
