Symptoms

Windows 10 virtual machine is configured to open web pages in a macOS browser. When a web link from an email if used instead of a macOS browser the link is open in the Edge browser.

Resolution

To resolve the issue and restore the functionality do the following:

Start Windows 10 virtual machine and go to Windows Start Menu > Settings > Apps > Default apps
Scroll down the list of the apps and then click on Web browser option to change it from Microsoft Edge to Open in Mac.
Close Settings window. After these changes the functionality should be restored.
