Minimum Operating System Requirements and Supported Components
With the release of the upcoming version 20.0, planned for the fall of 2024, Parallels® RAS (Remote Application Server) will update its minimum system requirements.

Advance Notice
This announcement provides you with advance notice about Parallels RAS minimum supported operating system requirements and supported components to enable you to plan your IT strategy accordingly.
The deprecation of components and features is not immediate and applies to Parallels RAS 20 and future releases with alternatives provided where possible. Parallels RAS 19 will continue to support these deprecated items.

Parallels RAS 19 is a Long Term Supported (LTS) version, supported until July 2025.

Supported Operating Systems in Parallels Remote Application Server 20
Remote Application Server Connection Broker and Remote Application Server Secure Gateway (64-bit versions only)
Remote Application Server Connection Broker and Remote Application Server Secure Gateway are supported on the following operating systems:
• Windows Server 2016 up to Windows Server 2022
• On Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, both Server Core and Desktop Experience installations are supported.
Note: Remote Application Server Connection Broker and Remote Application Server Secure Gateway should not be installed on a domain controller or any other machine where a DHCP server is running. This, in general, applies to any of the Remote Application Server components.
Remote Application Server RD Session Host Agent
• Windows Server 2012 R2 up to Windows Server 2022.
• Windows Server 2016 and newer must be installed using the "Desktop Experience" installation option.
• Windows Server 2012 R2 — Server Core installation option is not supported.
Remote Application Server Provider Agent
• Windows Server 2016 up to Windows Server 2022.
Remote Application Server Guest Agent
• Windows Server 2012 R2 up to Windows Server 2022.
• Windows 10, 11.
Remote Application Server Remote PC Agent
• Windows Server 2012 R2 up to Windows Server 2022.
• Windows 10, 11.
Remote Application Server Web Administration Service
• Windows Server 2016 up to Windows Server 2022.
Note that for larger environments (2000 or more concurrent connections), it is recommended to install the component on a dedicated server. For details, please see https://kb.parallels.com/en/124988.
Remote Application Server Reporting (Server and SQL)

Parallels Client
Parallels Client supports the following operating systems:
• Windows 10, 11 (both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported).
• Windows Server 2012R2 up to Windows Server 2022.
• macOS 12 Monterey, or later, including macOS 15 Sequoia. Parallels Client runs natively on Mac computers with Intel processors and Apple silicon.
• iOS or iPadOS 15, or later, including iOS and iPadOS 18.
• Android 9 or later, including Android 15.
Parallels Client for Linux supports the following Linux distributions (x64 versions only):
• Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
• Debian 11 Debian 11 (Bullseye), Debian 12 (Bookworm)
• Fedora 37, 38
• Linux Mint 20, 21
• IGEL OS 11, OS 12
• ThinOS/ Dell Wyse Thin Clients 2303 and later, including 2308.
AVD Client Feature (standard and advanced)
• Advanced Client Feature set is deprecated. The core additional capabilities such as Universal Printing and Scanning, Drag and Drop, Web Authentication are included in the Standard Feature set.
Dedicated VDI/Provider Agent
• Feature is deprecated. Provider Agent is included automatically as a separate service running on the Parallels RAS Connection Broker.
