How to restrict access to a RD Session Host desktop for particular users

In order to restrict direct desktop access for particular users and groups, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Remote Application Server Console.
  2. Go to Farm > RD Session Hosts > right-click on the required server > Properties > Desktop Access tab
  3. Uncheck Inherit default settings.
  4. Enable Restrict direct desktop access to the following users option.
  5. Add required users/groups.
