When you upgrade from Parallels Workstation 2.x to Parallels Desktop for Windows 4.0 or install Parallels Desktop for Windows 4.0 for the first time, you receive a message saying that your computer does not meet minimal system requirements:Information
Hardware virtualization is present, but for some reason it was disabled and hidden in BIOS. If you click on Learn more button and see that your CPU is supported, please use the following troubleshooting steps:1. Make sure your CPU supports hardware virtualization:

2. If CPU is supported, but you continue to receive the message above, make sure to enable hardware virtualization in BIOS:

3. Check if BIOS update is available on your computer (notebook) manufacturer's website. This update can enable Virtualization Technology (VT) switch in BIOS settings.
4. In case you can not find the option to enable Virtualization Technology (VT) in BIOS and BIOS update did not help, you should contact your computer (notebook) manufacturer's support for further assistance.
