Configuration of Parallels Mac Management Proxy Server fails

Symptoms

• The following errors shown during the Parallels Mac Management Proxy configuration:

  

  

• pma_isv_proxy_config.log contains the following:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]User does not have permission to perform this action. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login MEDC\svc_Parallels doesn't map to any user. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Map login MEDC\svc_Parallels to user pmmdbuser_ReadWrite. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]User pmmdbuser_ReadWrite is a member of db_owner.)'

Cause

Permissions issue.

Resolution

Grant the user account running the configuration wizard the SQL server role "db_securityadmin"
