How can I properly connect my Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 in Windows?

In order to connect your Logitech camera to Windows virtual machine you may use two options:

  1. Connect it via 'Sharing' feature - your camera will be recognized in Windows as a 'virtual'.

NOTE: Virtual device is not the same as real device from software/driver's view. It only provide same functionality. OEM drivers and software for real device couldn't be used for virtual device.

Virtual camera expose only standard interfaces for system (available for any compatible software) without OEM specific additions.

Please try this simple freeware application to test our shared camera (virtual UVC):

Or use Windows Movie Maker to test and record video.

  2. The second option is to connect your camera directly to Windows using this step:

At the Mac menu tool bar, go to Devices > External Devices > tick your Web camera. But this action will disable tablet at host. To revert the changes you will need to untick web camera back.

With this option a camera will be recognized in Windows as a 'real' device. If you need to use Logitech software/driver this webcam should be connected to VM as USB device.
