I am unable to install Parallels Tools because of my Windows 8.1 is corrupted. I have not Windows Installation Media. When I am trying to repair my windows by executing DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth the error appears:

    Error: 0x800f0906

    The source files could not be downloaded.

As a probable solution please do the following:

Method 1:

  1. Run the System File Checker (SFC) scan. Follow these steps: a. Boot to the desktop view.

b. Press Windows key + X.

c. Select Command Prompt (as administrator).

d. Type sfc /scannow and then press ENTER:

The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

Method 2:

Check if the following update is installed:

If the update is not installed then you can download and install it manually.
