I would like to configure network in FreeBSD virtual machine.
Start the virtual machines as the root and check the adapter identifier executing 'ifconfig' (e.g. 'em0').
Open /etc/rc.conf file:
Press 'Shift' + 'a' to enable editing and enter the following string:
ifconfig_em0="inet 192.168.10.100 netmask 255.255.255.0"
where em0 - the connection interdace identifier.
NOTE: 192.168.10.* are the default addresses in the host-only mode. 10.211.55.* - in the Shared mode. You can change them in the Parallels Desktop menu bar: Parallels Desktop -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network: Change settings...
Press Esc to exit editing and 'Shift' + 'z' + 'z' to save and exit.
Reset network configuration in the virtual machine executing:
service netif restart
