Why should I register Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac?

How to register?
You may register using the in-product registration or at https://www.parallels.com/account.
Please note that after installation of Parallels Desktop you should first log in to your existing Parallels account or create a new one, and then activate the copy with a license key. When you enter the license key during activation, it will be automatically registered under the account you previously logged in to.
In-product Registration
Once you start Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac after installation, it will prompt you to register:
A. If you already have an account with Parallels, please log in using that email.
Enter your email address as well as your current account password.
Verify that your account information is up to date, and enter any additional information requested except the password (unless you would like to change your current password) and click Register.
Your Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac activation key will be registered to your existing Parallels account:
B. If you do not have a Parallels account yet.
If you do not have a Parallels account, click on the Create New Account button at the bottom.
You will see the registration dialog for new Parallels users:
Enter the email that you would like to register your key with and fill in other required information. Enter a password, confirm it, and press Register.
This will allow you to create your own account with Parallels and register your Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac activation key to this account.
Registering at www.parallels.com
If you have an account:
Log in with your email and password at https://www.parallels.com/account/
Go to Parallels Desktop page, Licenses.
- Click Add, enter your activation key and click Submit.
