Users that have this level of administrator access will be able to view and change all settings on the appliance.
Procedure for Active Directory Groups
- Create a new or choose an existing group on the domain controller that will be allowed Admin access in Parallels Secure Workspace. We will use the Workspace-admin group as an example.
- Add the users as a member of this group in the Active Directory.
- Open System Settings > Manage > Labels.
- Use the [Import Groups from AD] button.
Alternatively, use [Add] to manually create the label:- Key: group
- Value: should be the name of the group: Workspace-admin
- Press [Add] to create the label
- Navigate to System Settings > Configure > User Connector: Login Permissions .
- Click the pencil next to Domain Administrators and add the group label.
- Type group: to get a list of all group labels
- Type the Active Directory group name (Workspace-admin) to get the specific label
Now all users that are a member of the Active Directory user group will see the System Settings and Dashboard apps.
Procedure for Active Directory Users
- Navigate to System Settings > Manage > Labels.
- Use the [Import Users from AD] button.
Alternatively, create a new label by clicking [Add].- Key: username
- Value: should be the name of the user: someuser
- Press [Add] to create the label.
- Navigate to System Settings > Configure > User Connector: Login Permissions .
- Click the pencil next to Domain Administrators and add the user label.
- Type username: to get a list of all user labels.
- Type the username to get the specific label.
The user testuser will see the System Settings and Dashboard apps
