Host names and ports used in China
To make sure our customers in China get the best experience, Parallels Desktop sends a request to both account.parallels.con and account.parallels.cn when starting up. Its sole purpose is to determine if a user is located in China so we can optimize the experience accordingly. If you're located in China, then the product will communicate through 433 port with the services mentioned above but hosted in China. For example, when activating Parallels Desktop, the product will send a request to license.parallels.cn but not to license.parallels.com.
