Symptoms

Installation of PIMU400011 update fails with the error:

Installation of PIMU400011 update for Parallels Infrastructure Manager 4.0 failed, result 0x80004005


In "c:\vzlog\msilog_PIMU400011 update for Parallels Infrastructure Manager 4.0.txt" log file the following error appears:

ExecProgram: Stderror - File C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Virtuozzo\Updates\vztools\4.0.440.67-4.0.461.0\Backup\vzagent\etc\vzagent.conf has wrong md5 sum

Resolution

The issue is caused by changes made in vzagent.conf file.

The vzagent.conf is located on x86 server:

"C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Virtuozzo\VZAgent\etc\vzagent.conf"

on x64 server:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Virtuozzo\VZAgent\etc\vzagent.conf"

To fix the issue it is necessary to modify log_level to default value which is 3.
