Therefore, applications using CDONTS do not work on Windows Server 2003-based computers. Windows Server 2003 provides improved alternatives to CDONTS.

For CDONTS to work in a Windows Server 2003-based computers, please do the following:

1. Download the attached CDONTS.ZIP file. Once downloaded, unzip CDONTS.DLL and put it in %systemroot%\system32 folder (by default C:\Windows\system32). You can also get CDONTS.DLL from the installation CD of your Windows 2000.

2. If the SMTP service is listed, it means it is already installed, if not you should install this service.

To install SMTP, do the following:

Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, Application Server, IIS, Select SMTP service, Click OK.

4.
