Symptoms

For example, task on creation virtual web server fails:
Task id:        115832
Task mutex name:        domain_service135
Task name:      Create virtual web server 4142 on host
'windomain.local' (host_id=19).
Task description:       Create virtual web server 4142 on host
'windomain.local' (host_id=19).
Queue status:  
Failed
Start not earlier than:         Sep-20-2007 06:46
Output of last task:   
Exception during execution of MPF request: 'Library not registered.
[<response><errorContext description="Library not registered."
code="0x8002801d" executeSeqNo="50"><errorSource namespace="SPSManager"
procedure="addUsers"/></errorContext></response>]'.

Cause

The error appears after installation of PSA2.6.3 Hotfix01.
The reason is that SPSProviderClientBase.tlb was updated on WSS front, but was not updated on MPS computer.
 

Resolution

Copy SPSProviderClientBase.tlb from WSS Front-end to MPS Engine server: 

  1. Go to on MPS computer, in folder where MPFCustomProviders is installed. Usually, it is: C:\Program Files\SWsoft\PEM\MPF Providers.
  2. Rename SPSProviderClientBase.tlb file to SPSProviderClientBase.tlb.bak.
  3. Go to WSS Front-end computer to the folder where MPFProviderClients is installed. Usually, it is: C:\Program Files\SWsoft\PEM\MPF Provider Clients.
  4. Copy file SPSProviderClientBase.tlb on MPS computer, to the folder where MPFCustomProviders is installed.
