There is no Open in Internet Explorer icon in Safari browser for OS X: you do not see it where it should be and you are unable to open this webpage in Internet Explorer of your Windows virtual machine in Parallels Desktop:


  • You did not restart Safari before using this feature
  • Parallels Desktop extension for Safari browser was not installed


Close Safari browser and open it again

If the issue still persists:

  • Open Finder, go to Applications
  • Right click on Parallels Desktop application > Show Package Contents...
  • Proceed to Contents/Library/Safari/Extensions
  • Launch OpenIE.safariextz file and install the extension
