Cómo usar un cron en un VDS

Un cron en un VDS funciona de forma un poco distinta de lo normal.

Generalmente, la edición de un cron se realiza usando el comando "crontab -e". De todas formas, en un VDS, "crontab -e" no funcionará por diseño.

Para poder definir una tarea cron, haga lo siguiente:

  1. Edite la tarea cron deseada en /var/spool/cron/VDSNAME (Donde VDSNAME es el nombre de usuario usado para acceder al VDS a través de SSH).

  2. Guarde el archivo.

  3. Emita el comando crontab sin parámetros. Esta operación aplicará la nueva tarea cron al cron del usuario en la máquina.
