How to remove Kaspersky Internet Security from the virtual machine?

  • Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac

I would like to uninstall Parallels Internet Security (Kaspersky Internet Security) from my Windows virtual machine.

Uninstalling through the Control Panel/Add and Remove programs should work, but you might want to make sure there are no remaining files in the system.

Leftover parts of antivirus tools can prohibit new anti-virus protection installation and can cause problems with Parallels Tools.

If you want to remove Kaspersky antivirus from your system completely, we recommend using a special removal tool which you can download from the Kaspersky website. Here are the instructions on how to use it.

Note: Parallels Internet Security will show up as Kaspersky Internet Security 2009or as Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 in a dropdown list.

If you still experience issues with Kaspersky removal, you may have remnants of your previous anti-virus protection cause this problem. Please apply this solution for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 to get it fixed:
