How do I compile some application from sources inside a VE? It does not seem to have gcc installed.

Resolution

Ensure that appropriate devel template is installed. If it is not available, please use 'vzup2date -t' command to seek and install standard devel template, and use 'vzup2date -z' to install EZ devel template.
Once it is installed on the node, install the devel template into that VE. For example, for VE #101 based on Fedora Core 2 standard template, run the following command on the hardware node:

# vzpkgadd 101 devel-fc2


In case of EZ templates please use following command:

# vzpkg install 101 devel
