• All customers that have purchased an Upgrade or a Full Version of Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac beginning October 1^st 2009 are eligible for a free-of- charge upgrade to the new version of Parallels Desktop, Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac
• All customers that have purchased a Full Version of Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition beginning August 25^th (day of initial availability of this product) are eligible for a free-of-charge upgrade to the new version of Parallels Desktop, Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac.
  • Download the upgrade to the language version you are currently using
  • If prompted, use your original activation key for Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition to activate the product

This free-of-charge upgrade is applicable for downloaded version (ESD) and physical products (Software Box), purchased directly with Parallels, in Retail/eTail, or with a Channel Partner. The last day for claiming a free-of-charge upgrade is January 15^th, 2010 for customers of Parallels Desktop 4 for Mac. No end date for claiming a free of charge upgrade is given for Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition customers.

Issue 1: I purchased Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac in the USA (or Canada) after October 1st, 2009. How can I get my free upgrade key?

Solution: All customers who purchased a permanent or upgrade retail box copy of Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac starting from October 1st, 2009 in the United States and Canada should contact Nova Development to obtain a free upgrade activation key. Issue 2: I purchased Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition how can I get free upgrade key for Parallels Desktop 5.0 for Mac?

All customers that have purchased a Full Version of Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition beginning August 25th (day of initial availability of this product) are eligible for a free-of-charge upgrade to the new version of Parallels Desktop 5.0 Switch to Mac.

To upgrade to Parallels Desktop 5.0 Mac, please:

1. Download the upgrade for Parallels Desktop 5.0 for Mac to the language version you are

currently using:

2. Install it.

3. If prompted, use your original activation key for Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition to activate the product.

Issue 3: I purchased Parallels Desktop after October 1st, 2009 not via your online store, and not in the USA or Canada. How can I get my free Parallels Desktop 5.0 for Mac upgrade activation key?
