Is Windows 7 supported by Parallels Desktop for Mac?

Information

 Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit version) was supported as guest OS in earlier builds of Parallels Desktop for Mac 4.0 on experimental basis.
The full official support is represented in the latest build of Parallels Desktop 4.0 - 3848.

It is valid for virtual machines created with virtual hard disk only. Please note that Windows 7 in Boot Camp partition is currently supported by Apple with some limitations:

Please make sure that you have the latest build of Parallels Desktop 4.0 installed to get the highest compatibility and stability running Windows 7 virtual machine.

Parallels Desktop 5.0
fully supports Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit version) with every build in both virtual and physical installation (from Boot Camp partition):

Note: Earlier versions of Parallels Desktop for Mac (3.x, 2.x) do not support Windows 7 and it is not planned to be implemented.
