Parallels Panel allows to change permissions for files and directories using file manager. But some permissions are not saved. For example:Cause
It happens because of optimization which is automatically performed by Parallels Panel. It actually does grant required permission for the object, but it does so only for deficient (lacking) permissions. In the example above Parallels Panel set special permissions for "Files only", because "Read" for "This folders and subfolders" is already inherited from parent object.
So the required set of permissions is actually granted, but it is split in two Access Control Entries (ACE) therefore Windows does not recognize it as Read&Execute and eventually this is not shown properly in Parallels Panel file manager.
