Symptoms
When you start your Windows in virtual machine you may get the following stop error on blue screen (BSOD):0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Resolution
If you are using Boot Camp partition, please boot into Boot Camp natively and check for any custom video drivers ( ATI or NVIDIA) installed.If there are any of such drivers, please remove them.
If you are using a separate virtual machine and no custom drivers are installed, please increase video memory assigned to this virtual machine at least to 32 MB.
Also check Device Manager for any additional video adapters:
- Start > Control Panel >System >Hardware tab > Device Manager
- Expand Video Adapters and remove all except Parallels Video Adapter. (Right-click > Uninstall)
