Question
We have a plan with Plesk8 and license class for Plesk8 configured. We have the subscription with Plesk 8 and also license. It is necessary to update to Plesk 9. (License also should be updated). How do I upgrade Plesk8 to Plesk9 in PBAS.Resolution
1.Create a copy of the hosting plan in case that you as provider wants to keep selling Plesk 82. Change the subscription to the new plan.Go to
Top > Account Director > Subscription Manager > Subscriptions > SUBSCRIPTION_NAME > 'General Settings'
tab and click on the 'Change Hosting Plan' button.
3. Edit the plan and set Plesk 8 to not included but sell for 0. Go to
Top > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > 'NAME_OF_THE_PLAN' > 'Applications'
tab and and unmark the 'Included' checkbox right ahead the Plesk 8 application.
4. Set Plesk 8 license and not sellable in the store.
5. Add Plesk9 application as included to the plan.
6. Configure Plesk9 license class and set the Plesk9 license as included.
7. Update subscription to the latest plan version.Go to
Top > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > 'NAME_OF_THE_PLAN' > 'Subscriptions' tab.
During the update Plesk on the CT will be updated to the version 9 and license will be updated also.
8. Go to the
Top > Service Director > License Manager > Licenses
select old license and press "Get license from KA".
9. Go to the user's CP to the "Upgrade Center" tab and update license.
10. Check that everything is ok.
