RESOLUTION

For migration of Exchange 2003 x86 to a Virtuozzo Virtual server on x64 a native application-specific platform migration method is used.

The process is referred by Microsoft as ‘transition’:

Stage 1. MS Exchange Server 2007 (x64) is installed into a new VE on Virtuozzo x64 Server alongside the physical Exchange 2003 (x86).

Stage 2. Mailboxes are moved from physical Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 installed on Virtual using MS Exchange built-in tools.

Stage 3. After transition is complete, the physical Exchange may be shut down.
