1. Topic:

Update for Parallels Virtuozzo Container 4.0 provides with fixes for network stability, backup  functionality, installation of templates and applications issues.

2. Problem description:

   • Perfmon in container reports number of processes/threads from the node;
   • Impossible to remove update of existing application template from container;
   • Incorrect message on mounting an external disk;
   • Backup fails with error “Failed to initialize snapshot”;
   • Redirection fails if the node has too many VLANs or IPs;
   • Containers fail to start if KB951748 is installed;
   • "Per-disk disktype" feature.

All Parallels Virtuozzo Container 4.0 users are advised to update their Virtuozzo node.

3. Affected components description:

   • Backup service which provides an ability to backup containers;
   • Virtuozzo core;
   • Automatic Update service - downloads and installs Microsoft updates.

4. Bug fixes:

   • 112056 - Perfmon in container reports number of processes/threads from the node;
   • 112728 - Removal of  an update on existing template from container hangs;
   • 113031 - Incorrect message when mounting external disk to C;
   • 112884 - Failed to initialize snapshot;
   • 114627 - Redirection fails if the node has too many VLANs or IPs;
   • 116474 - SVE doesn't start after KB951748 installation.

5. New Microsoft updates are available to install on the node after the current update installation:

6. Obtaining and Installation:

On the Virtuozzo Windows host, run Virtuozzo Update Wizard  (vzupdate.exe)  and follow the instructions.   This wizard will install all the recent Virtuozzo updates and hotfixes in the correct sequence. Otherwise you can install Virtuozzo updates manually.
