SYMPTOMS
When Provider imports EZ Template into POA, task "Add Virtuozzo template <template_url> in PEM repository" fails with the following error:
Can not install Virtuozzo template from <template_url>: ExSystem: ERRCODE 5000 ERRCODE_MINOR -5 VZALib error, code: -5, msg: Can't parse vzagent message CAUSE
This is a known issue of Parallels Infrastructure Manager 4.0 (ID: 99588). Parallels is aware of this issue and would make a hotfix available - PIM 4.0 hotfix 04 should be installed to resolve this issue. Until it is available, use the following resolution.RESOLUTION
After task for template import fails, template is actually installed on the VPS HW Node but is not registered in POA.
To register this imported template in POA Provider should go to the VPS HW Node where template was imported and update list of templates installed on VPS HW Node.
To do this follow the next steps:
1. Go to Top > Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > VPS Hardware Nodes
2. Select VPS HW Node with PVC 4.0 where template is imported (with attribute ‘Template import’ = YES).
3. Go to ‘General’ tab, ’System’ subtab.
4. In General section there is Update templates button.
5. When Provider press Update templates button, POA schedule update of templates installed on this VPS HW Node.
All templates installed on this VPS HW Node and not registered in POA would be registered in POA after that.
6. To check that template is now registered in POA, Provider should go to Templates tab of VPS HW Node and see template is registered in POA with origin Pre-installed.
7. Provider should go to Task Manager and cancel and delete original failed task for template import.
Additional information
POA 2.8 is not affected by this issue.
