[FIX] Virtuozzo Update Wizard does not work through external proxy

SYMPTOMS

There is a proxy server configured on the network. Virtuozzo Update Wizard fails to connect to update server.

CAUSE

Most likely the  proxy requires authentication, so  the process accessing the Internet should be run under domain credentials.

RESOLUTION

1.Open Services MMC snap-in.

2. For Virtuozzo update server service change "Log on as"  from System to DOMAIN\User (this user has to be enabled on the proxy)

3. In Computer management, Local users and groups,  add DOMAIN\User  to the Administrators group.

4. Restart Virtuozzo Update Service.

5. In Virtuozzo Update Wizard settings, choose "Use Internet explorer proxy settings"  (of course, the correct proxy server and port should be specified in IE settings before)
