SYMPTOMS

Virtuozzo fails to install on Microsoft cluster.

The following error appears:



The procedure entry point OnlineVzService could not be located in the dynamic link library vzclusapi.dll

CAUSE

The reason for this error is not the latest version of PVC installer used for the installation (to perform a cluster installation with the latest update VZU400005 it is necessary to use the latest PVC installer)

RESOLUTION

Please, download the latest version of PVC installer and use one for every future installations of the cluster nodes.

Regarding the particular node - to finish the installation, it is necessary to:

1. Reboot the current node.

2. If after reboot the node appears as "paused" in the cluster administrator, please, resume it (right click on the node -> Resume).
3. Move the cluster resource group that was chosen during the installation back to the rebooted (on step#1) node, and make the group 'Online' for sure.

3. When the group is online on this node, please, start  PIM installation again - it should finish successfully. To start the PIM installation, please, rename the file VZTools_x86.ex_  ( VZTools_x64.ex_ and VZTools_IA64.ex_ for x64 and IA64 correspondingly) into VZTools_x86.exe  (the file is located in directory with PVC distributive) and start the exe file.
