Updating Parallels Confixx version 3.3.1 to 3.3.x which was installed from EZ Virtuozzo Containers template

Cause

If you have already installed Parallels Confixx 3.3.1 EZ template, you can update Parallels Confixx to 3.3.x version by updating EZ template which takes the following steps:

 

1. Login as root to your Virtuozzo Containers hardware node.

2. Change your confixx repository path by editing the /vz/template/[OS]/[VERSION]/x86/config/app/confixx/default/repositories file,

    Where OS is operations system you are running, it could be suse or debian.

    And VERSION is version of the OS you are running, it could be 10.0 for SuSE or 3.1, 4.0 for Debian

and change file contents to:

 - for SUSE 10.0 based install:

 ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.x/ez/suse/10.0

Where x is a minor version number you are updating to. For example  http://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.4/ez/suse/10.0
 

- for Debian 3.1 based install:
To update to version 3.3.2 or 3.3.3
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.x/ez/debian/3.1 binary/
where x  is a minor version number you are updating to.
For example to update to version 3.3.3 please use ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.3/ez/debian/3.1 binary/

To update to version 3.3.4 and above please use
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.4/debian sarge all

 

- for Debian 4.0 based install:
To update to version 3.3.2 or 3.3.3
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.x/ez/debian/4.0 binary/
where x  is a minor version number you are updating to.
For example to update to version 3.3.3 please use ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.3/ez/debian/4.0 binary/

To update to version 3.3.4 and above please use
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Confixx/ConfixxPro3.3/3.3.4/debian etch all

 

3. execute vzpkg utility as it is shown below:

   vzpkg update -r VE_ID confixx

where VE_ID - Virtual Environment Id with Confixx 3.3.1
