How to Unpause Virtual Machine in Fullscreen Mode

APPLIES TO:
  • Parallels Desktop 3 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 2.x for Mac

Resolution

If the VM is running in Fullscreen mode and you

- hit input device release keys (Ctrl+Alt by default),

- then open the application main menu and selects "Actions" -> "Pause"

- and then go back to the paused VM screen

Then the only way to return VM to the normal state is to hit Fullscreen toggle hotkeys (Alt+Enter by default) and unpause the VM from Single Window mode.
