Parallels Desktop keeps installing Kaspersky after starting Windows guest OS. After a couple of seconds the message displays: "Parallels Desktop is finalizing Kaspersky installation" and restarts. How can I get rid of this?

APPLIES TO:
  • Parallels Desktop 3 for Mac Standard Edition
  • Parallels Desktop 2.x for Mac Standard Edition

Resolution

To overcome the issue, you should disconnect an ISO image with Kaspersky. To do this, go to Parallels menu -> Devices menu -> CD/DVD rom option and choose the "Disconnect" option to disconnect the image, or click the "Default CD/DVD" option.

Parallels CD with Kaspersky will be disconnected.
